Interesting and well-written. It does have some to do with age. You are/were, very young. There are certainly men out there who have learned--for me through years of marriage to a woman who died too soon, but learned emotional maturity. I seem to meet women who are not in touch with their feelings. This whole situation may revolve around people meeting each other's deeper spiritual needs, which are mostly invisible to the eye, or...to the immediate conscious mind.
