Interesting. I am a retired pediatrician. I will admit I am primarily somewhat biased against real estate people and others who sell things, I am not an entrepreneur. However, 2 good things: 1) I like your story and believe you. 2) I rented in downtown Chicago several years ago after my wife passed and I lost our house in the mortgage thing. I subleased a nice apartment from a very wealthy investor in another state. I never met him. The next summer, in the midst of a really hot Chicago summer, the AC went out. my dogs and I were sweltering. I called the building management who said the machinery was on the roof of this big condo conversion bldg. They might get someone out in a day or two. So I called the owner's office and left a message, was there anything he could do. He called back in an hour and said he had placed a call to the management and someone was on their way to fix it. They did. I thanked him. When I moved out a couple years later, he took off half the deposit that he could have , and said I was a great tenant and he was sorry to lose me. You have no idea how hard it is just to get people to pay on time. So, I was left with a very positive feeling. I am not an entrepreneur, so after 2 years I still have no clue how to really make money at this, but I love writing and do it for that. Good luck with your writing and your real estate.
