It is too easy for the “ rest of us”, mainly whites, to say he is too sensitive. Maybe one should not have to just “ get over it”. I wish for Dr Goins that he has a great influence on other up and coming mathematicians, and others, especially students of color, that they too can make it in academia. To say he is overly sensitive is to ignore the many problems in that exist in academia. Btw, I am white and a retired physician, and, was terrible at math. I admire Dr Goins for being able to understand it.
