You are of course entitled to your opinion, and I am an older heterosexual male. But I think pronouns are part of larger issue of society as a whole learning to respect the multi-faceted nature of society, whereby for generations or centuries, people of different races and ethnicities and disabilities have been completely disrespected. We can go out of our way just a little to learn respect for others. It is part of loving other humans.
